Raiffeisen Bank is launching “Welcome Home” – a modern home insurance, available directly in the Smart Mobile app, that addresses the real need for home protection and offers customers support in unforeseen situations. A key benefit? The price remains unchanged for 5 years, with no annual adjustments and no effects of inflation, a form of financial predictability rarely found in this type of cover.
Welcome Home insurance is the bank’s second standalone insurance product integrated into the platform, following Around the World travel insurance. The solution is completely digital, with a fast process that allows the policy to be issued in less than 10 minutes.
Extended protection for home and family
With Welcome Home, your home is covered not only against major risks such as fire, floods, earthquakes, landslides, storms, hail or avalanches, but also against frequent events such as electrical or household appliance breakdowns (up to RON 5,000 per year), burglary, theft, robbery or vandalism. In addition, the product provides cover for household goods, damage to neighbors, rapid intervention in case of emergency and even financial support for temporary accommodation or rent in case the home can no longer be used.
The insurance is structured in a basic package that includes cover for major risks and a number of optional clauses that can be added according to the customer’s needs. In addition to the dwelling, household goods are covered (up to 10% of the sum insured), as well as outbuildings not structurally linked to the insured dwelling (garages, garages, sheds, sheds, etc.) and modern installations (heating plants, solar or photovoltaic panels, etc.), which can be included as optional extras.

Real support in critical times
In case the home can temporarily no longer be used, customers can benefit from the coverage of hotel accommodation costs, up to RON 250 per day, for up to five days. In the event of major damage, they can receive rental support of up to RON 2,000 per month for up to three months.
Emergency intervention is available 24/7, with a maximum response time of four hours and compensation of up to RON 1,000 per event per year, and third party liability is covered up to RON 25,000 per year.
Extensive flexibility and quick in-app access
Welcome Home allows you to insure your own or your loved ones’ homes, with policy configuration tailored to your individual needs and choice of additional options. The policy is valid for 5 years and the premium is fixed with no surprises or annual renegotiations. Energy efficient homes benefit from a 10% discount for those with a green home certificate.
Policy issuance is 100% digital, straight from the app and takes less than 10 minutes, with claims settled within seven days of submitting all necessary documents.
The product is available in Smart Mobile, in the Insurance → Home → Insurance section, and the premium varies depending on the sum insured and the options chosen. If the user does not already have a PAD policy, it is automatically generated during the purchase process.

Official data shows that more than 80% of homes in Romania do not benefit from a comprehensive form of protection, despite the fact that in the first 5 months of 2025 alone, more than 4,200 home damage cases were opened, with claims exceeding RON 41 million, 18% more than the same period in 2024.
